RESIDENTS PRIVACY POLICY

Kincraig Construction Limited undertakes residential and commercial refurbishment, planned maintenance, electrical and associated services for a number of organisations which involves access to your home.  As part of our Company values we are committed to responsible and transparent conduct and to show respect and courtesy to all with whom we have dealings. 

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal information necessary for us to carry out our contracted work whist safeguarding your right to privacy.

What information do we collect?

Your personal information provided to us is limited to your name, address, telephone numbers, Email address and details of medical condition or vulnerable persons who we should be aware of.  This information will be used and may be added to when we contact you by telephone or Email, by our site personnel who will visit you to make arrangements to carry out work in your home or when asked by our Clients to obtain your feedback on work completed.

How do we use your personal information

We use your personal information for the sole purpose of fulfilling our contractual obligations.  This includes contacting you to make appointments, scheduling and carrying out works to your home.  The lawful basis we process your data is on the grounds of it being of legitimate interest.

How we store your information

We hold and process all your personal information securely within our offices and on-site by authorised staff.  We normally hold your personal information for a maximum of seven years after completion of our contract and dispose of it as confidential waste to an on-site shredding company.   We delete data that is held electronically.

Who do we share your personal information with?

We only share your personal information with our Client and appointed specialist contractors (e.g. asbestos treatment companies.  We may also share your personal information with our professional advisers & service providers (e.g. auditors) or when legally required to statutory authorities.

Safeguarding your personal information

We take all reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure.  Access to your personal information is restricted to prevent unauthorised access, modification or misuse.  Only authorised employees and agents are permitted to access your personal information on a need-to-know basis.

You are requested to remove the possibility of our personnel being exposed to other personal information (e.g. personal documents, correspondence, prescription details etc) whilst work is carried out in your home.  If our personnel note any such confidential or private information they are under strict instruction to confine such to themselves unless there is justifiable cause to believe that there may be a real risk present to yourself or others.  Our personnel have the right to have their own privacy at work respected.
